This is called a Hedge-apple, Osage-orange, or Horse-apple. It is wild looking. We ran into these all over the ground along a spot on Skyline Drive in The Shenandoah National Park. Cool Tree Frog!! I was surprised to see this guy I thought we were too far north but apparently they are found as far north as Maryland.  We spotted him in The Shenandoah at our cabin with The WooFPAK. This beautiful Butterfly I believe is actually called a Red-spotted Purple (Limenitis arthemis). I love Butterflies as to me they are like water color paintings just so incredibly striking. Deer

Deer

Beautiful Deer are frequently part of our WooFDriver Activities. We see them all over and it is really cool especially when they are together with their offspring known as Fawn. I have trained the WooFPAK not to chase the Deer. They oblige with this rule nicely. On this sighting we were in the Shenandoah region summer of 2004!! Read more… Read more →
